"Capturing the outdoor lifestyle"
HR 621 is a bill that would have allowed the sale of over 3 million acres of public land. This land was identified as disposable by the Clinton administration. The bill was sponsored by Jason Chaffetz, a republican from Utah.
These lands were small parcels in 10 western states. When sportsman and women found out that all these small plots equaled an area the size of Connecticut they began putting pressure on their legislators. Because of this pressure HR 621 was withdrawn yesterday. The following is a quote off Representative Chaffetz’s twitter account.
“I am withdrawing HR 621. I’m a proud gun owner, hunter and love our public lands,” wrote Chaffetz. “The bill would have disposed of small parcels of lands Pres. Clinton identified as serving no public purpose but groups I support and care about fear it sends the wrong message. The bill was originally introduced several years ago. I look forward to working with you. I hear you and HR 621 dies tomorrow.”

Well the cold finally had an impact on the lake. Water temps dropped to the high 40’s and slowed down the bite just a little.
However the long line bite is still there but the fish have moved a little deeper. Kalins triple threat grubs and Mr. Crappie slabslicious soft plastics were on point as normal.
Long lining is hard on your trolling motor batteries so now is the time to drop by C & O marine to have yours checked.
The crappies are hot and only getting hotter so book your spring trip today.
