This was yesterday at the American Crappie Trail National Championship. This is BnM pro angler Kent Driscoll. What he is doing is throwing hats and towels to the audience. He was making a bunch of kids day at one point. These are the kind of anglers that I was around all weekend. Just great guys who know that in order be be successful as a professional angler this has to be a business.Yet they all had time to talk to a kid or give a spectator a fishing tip.
I also sat in a meeting this morning with another B’nM pro Angler, Ronnie Capps, who was nearly jumping up and down about the possibility of kids in competitive crappie tournament fishing. Then yet another B’nM guy, Whitey Outlaw, jumped on the same band wagon and shared stories with us about how he can never remember not fishing as a kid.
The Moral of this story is that the B’nM pro staff, as a collective, are truly here to help keep competitive crappie fishing a clean, family oriented, professional sport.
