Its show time at Lake of the Ozarks! At 5 am the official boat check started at Bryant’s Osage Outdoors. 44 of the best professional crappie teams in America are in a battle for a purse worth over 100K. To my knowledge this is the biggest paying professional crappie trail in America.
This was also the smoothest boat check I have ever attended. Not only was the tournament staff top shelf, but the anglers were true professionals and that in itself helps make the ACT the great trail that it is.
The anglers were energized to say the least. The 20 or so teams I spoke with thought this was going to be their main trail next season because the classic is not open to anyone who didn’t earn their ticket. The other big factor was that they felt that the staff of the ACT was doing more to promote professional anglers and their sponsors.
Stay tuned for the Day one weigh in update for the American Crappie Trail Classic.
